Hey, what's up y'all this is Thomas Rhett and you're listening to my brand new single "Look What God Gave Her" on ____.

So this song, yes I was a writer on it, but it actually started in a room without me. My producer, Julian Bunetta, two great guys Jay Cash and John Ryan and my dad had actually started writing this song about a month before I ever heard it. And I remember opening for Kenny Chesney in Ohio and we had a rain delay and we were all sitting in the dressing room and kinda waiting and my producer Julian said "hey I kinda wanna play this song and see what you think, I wrote it with your dad." And the very first time we heard "Look What God Gave Her" it was me and the whole band and the crew and a couple people from our label. And from the very listen I was just completely hooked and addicted to the melody, what the song said, the beat, the tempo. It really just kind of engulfed the room in a way that was kinda crazy because we heard it for the first time then I think right before the show we literally listened to the song like 50 times. And I was like first of all, it needs a bridge, and second of all can I please cut this song? And so I got back in the room with those guys and we wrote a bridge and kinda tweaked some lines in the second verse to make the song a little bit more more personal to me. And so ever since then, it's a song that I've played thousands of times on my phone and in my car, at the gym, on the bus, literally in every different setting, And it's a song to me that just really just does not get old. I think it's kinda hypnotic in the way that it kinda engulfs your brain and really just makes you want to dance and kinda just puts a smile on your face.
